Fares & Pricing

Are your fares fixed?

Yes. You'll see an estimated fare when you book — whether that's through the app, by phone, or online. No surge pricing. Competitive fares across the board.

Is it cheaper to book through the app?

The fare is the same however you book. But the app is faster (about 8 seconds), shows you the exact price upfront, and lets you track your driver in real time.

Do you charge more at night?

Our fares are consistent. You won't be hit with a surprise premium for booking at 2am on a Saturday.

How do I book?

Three ways: through the Local Taxis app, by calling 0191 462 0060, or online. The app is the fastest.

Can I pre-book for a specific time?

Yes. You can book up to 7 days in advance. Perfect for airport runs, hospital appointments, or any journey where timing matters.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. Just enter their pickup address and phone number. They'll get a text when the driver's on the way.

Vehicles & Accessibility

Do you have wheelchair-accessible vehicles?

Yes. Our WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) has ramp access and secure wheelchair fixings. Book through the app and select "Accessible" as your vehicle type.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Select "Pet Friendly" when booking. Our pet-friendly vehicles have seat covers and drivers who genuinely like animals.

What vehicles do you have?

Saloons, estates, 6-seaters, 7-seaters, 8-seater minibuses, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Choose when you book.

Where do you cover?

We're based in Blaydon and cover all of Tyne and Wear — Gateshead, Newcastle, Whickham, Ryton, Prudhoe, Hexham, and 25+ areas.

Do you do airport transfers?
